Why coin flip streaks happen
A streak feels surprising because our brains expect randomness to alternate. In fact, runs are a normal feature of independent random results.
Independent does not mean alternating
Each flip stays 50/50. A previous heads result does not make tails more due on the next flip.
Seeing runs in long sessions
As you make more flips, there are more chances for a cluster to appear. A simulator makes those runs easy to spot without changing the odds.
